While largely relaxing, my summer has been pretty unfulfilling. That's not to say I didn't do anything that I enjoyed, but true satisfaction was experienced in moderation these past four months. One, er, 'accomplishment' had to do with utilizing the CRAP out of my Netflix account. From the very first day of summer to yesterday nite I watched 72 movies (I kept a list). Note: this does include the first time I saw Star Trek in theaters...but not the other six times. Oh, and I watched/caught-up with a few TV shows via the internet, too. I'm pretty sure my brain melted.

I did go to Medieval Times for the first time ever a little over a week ago, and it was soooo fun! Other than that and all the movies, I sometimes stayed with pops or hung out with friends.

I did...a little art, heheh. Nothing very good or worth seeing, though. However, I was able to get a couple of minor paychecks for helping design some stuff for my aunt and uncle's actuarial business. That was cool because it gave me a bit of freelance experience. I really appreciate them giving me that opportunity! And...I guess that was my summer in a nutshell.

As for the impending school year, well, I'm pretty excited. I'm mostly thrilled at the prospect of being back in the city with all my homies! But I also look forward to seeing what my classes will be like. My studio classes, anyway. My gen eds are pretty self-explanatory, and I think the only thing I can do to prepare for them is take a deep breath and shoot up caffeine or something. Well, maybe that's how I should prepare for the year in general...

But yeah.

Four years ago, my junior year of high school, was the best year of my life. I don't know if my junior year of college will even compare, but I still look forward to seeing what the future has store for me. My goal is to push myself to take my work to new levels and really start developing a nice foundation that will lead me to the doors of grad school.

And away we go!
